Sun City Blades Win Austin Skating Championship 6/28/2010 The Sun City Blades figure skaters brought home the championship from the Texas Hill Country Figure Skating Competition in Austin, Texas over this past weekend. The Sun City Blades competed against several figure skating teams from throughout Texas and ended up as the overall point champions. Our skaters brought home: 34 1st place medals, 31 2nd place medals, 10 3rd place medals, 5 4th and 6th place medals. Our Compulsory teams brought back 2 1st place and 1 2nd place medals. Our synchronized skating team also won 1st in their category. Congratulations and thank you to all the skaters and coaches for their dedication to the sport of figure skating.

Ice Rink Closed for Summer
6/28/2010
On June 28th, the ice rink closed for the summer break. Improvements will be made to the rink including a fresh sheet of ice. The rink will reopen in late August. Please check back later for a reopening date. The rink staff and management would like to thank everyone for another wonderful year. Have a great summer!

Sun City Blades Place Well In Dallas

Congratulations to the Sun City Blades figure skaters for their excellent performances in Dallas over this past weekend at the District 11 Championships. This group of competitive skaters finished 4th out of 11 teams in the District and El Paso's Synchronized Skating Team brought home another trophy.
